anticipation.

In Chicago now
Seven hours to Ireland
Excited for rain

... maybe more Haikus to come.

few more hours

Well... After being hit with another huge snow storm and no time to go snowboarding, I am ready for the fifty degrees in ireland. It is suppopsed to rain most of the time, but there will be no snow on the ground.

We have a long nine days ahead us. Please be in prayer and I will post what is going on when I get to a computer. The computer the missionary's have is broken, so no promises.

Onward to Dublin

I leave on Saturday early morning in route to Dublin.

We will be doing outreaches in Dublin at St. Marks Church, in Meath at Navan Deaf Club and possibly in Monaghan at Monaghan Deaf Club and possibly in Cork at Cork Deaf Club. I encourage you to look at a map and see where these cities are and be praying for the Deaf there in preperation for our arrival.

Of course Language is going to be a barrier, however, most of our team have at least learned the alphabet. So we will have a place to start and the Holy Spirit will do the rest.

Learning a new language

I wanted to give you a sample of what the new sign language I am trying to learn. I have one month to learn a significant amount of Irish Sign Language. It took me about 2 weeks to be able to communicate and understand the Deaf in the Philippines. So only having 9 days in Ireland I want to already have a grasp on the language.

There are 3 or 4 Deaf Americans coming along on this trip too. So that will help with the language barrier.
